Sentry Solutions Product Testimonials
| Mr. Matt Conable, William Henry Knives, President and Designer | TUF-CLOTH and Tuf-Glide are indispensable products in the William Henry Studio. We use TUF-GLIDE as a lubricant and rust-inhibitor. In fact, I like the product so much that I include a William Henry branded TUF-CLOTH with every Damascus blade we ship.

| Mr. Gene Zink, Hx International Training Division, Instructor | I started using SMOOTH-KOTE and TUF-CLOTH on my firearms over 3 years ago. Needless to say, I have not lubricated my firearms with anything else since, and I will not in the future. With our hectic training schedule and the number of rounds that I fire each week, close to 500. I have little time to perform maintenance on my MP5 and USP. Using Sentry products has reduced the time it takes to clean them as they do not foul up as much as when using oils. The combination of reliable H&K firearms and the excellent Sentry Solutions products make a winning combination. You have helped keep my firearms running and rust free. |
| Sgt. D.A, 3-187th Infantry Regiment, U.S. Army | I am writing you from Afghanistan. I am a member of 187th Infantry Regiment. Soldiers in our battalion have your product, TUF-CLOTH. As you can imagine our weapons get extremely dirty from dirt and sand. The TUF-CLOTH is awesome. We have worn them out passing them around cleaning our weapons so they do not jam during enemy contacts with the Taliban. Imagine the feeling when you are engaged by the enemy and your weapon misfires or jams. It is not a good one. Using TUF-CLOTH keeps our weapons running great. Thank you for your assistance in fighting the war on terrorism. |
| Sgt. M. M., MP, Iraq | My name is Sgt. M. M. a Military Policeman from the 105th MP Co of NY NG. I am on active duty in Iraq. I spent eight years as a Marine Corps Infantryman and five years as an MP. I first used TUF-CLOTH in 1999 during a rotation in Bosnia. I purchased my first TUF-CLOTH at the AAFES PX at Eagle Base, Bosnia. I was skeptical, but soon became a die-hard user. On my current deployment to Iraq, my TUF-CLOTHs have been invaluable. The cleaning and lubricating action of the TUF-CLOTH has kept my 9mm and M16A2 with M203 in good working order through the sand and grit. I had originally brought ten TUF-CLOTHs with me from Ft. Drum. Since I am a team leader, I passed some cloths to my team members. I am happy to say that my drivers M16A2 has never been so sand free. My M249 SAW Gunner is also using one to keep his SAW in top shape. Word of mouth has really caught on and now most of the squad uses them. The downside to this, for me, is I am out of fresh TUF-CLOTHs. The AAFES PX at Arifjan does not have your product. Unless I find some TUF-CLOTHs, my squad will be going back to less advanced means of maintaining our weapons. Thanks for your time and the great product. |
| Mr. Ricky Devoid,Tarnhelm Supply Co., Inc.,Vice President | I have been using the dry lubrication system from Sentry Solutions since the fall of 1995. True to its claims, this products performance is outstanding! I have been doing gunsmithing for 20 years, and it is quite the advancement in rust and corrosion prevention. It brings the lubrication of firearms to another level. We now recommend these products to all our customers. It continues to elicit praise. |
| Cpl. Jim Horan, Deputy, Sheriff and Gunsmith, MD | I was hunting in mud, rain and snow and your products worked just like you said they would. None of my guns or gear had any rust. And I got my buck! |
| Mr. Joe Marsillo, Principle Firearms Instructor, Draken Enterprises, NY | I fired over 600 rounds through my competition 1911 without having to clean. This product is great, I hate to clean guns. |
| Peter Castell, J.J.B.C. Certified Firearms Instructor, N.R.A. Certified Instructor | What I can say, it is seldom that products live up to the hype that we hear. I may not be a Navy Seal, but your products will be on all my guns, and the guns that I can spirit away from others for the time needed to treat them. |
| Mr. William Mattingly, KY | FLABBERGASTED! That pretty much describes my reaction to the results of the MARINE TUF-CLOTH I received a couple of days ago. I am a pocket pistol collector who currently resides in Louisville. The best way to describe the condition of the air is BRUTAL! Very hot with very high humidity. Sometimes it seems difficult to tell the air from the water. I would not have ordered MARINE TUF-CLOTH if it had not been for the sincere recommendations of so many other shooters on FiringLine.com. I will never be without a MARINE TUF-CLOTH again. |
| Mark McWillis, Benchmade Knife Co. VP Marketing/New Product Development. | We have been using and recommending MARINE TUF-CLOTH to all of our customers for some time now and the consensus is, It is great! We are constantly bombarded with advertising for many, many products and it is very easy to become jaded and cynical about new wonder products. It is refreshing to find a product that actually does MORE than the manufacturer claims. |
| Captain W.M., 1st. Special Warfare Training Group, (Airborne), U.S. Army Ft. Bragg, NC | Our instructors very much favor several of your products. Our sniper instructors are impressed with your SMOOTH-KOTE since it does not attract dirt or grit. As you know, these weapons are made to very precise tolerances and a lubricant, which keeps out debris, is very helpful. The SMOOTH-KOTE and TUF-CLOTH were tested in our Beretta M9 Pistols and CAR-15 rifles. It performed very well and made post shooting clean up easier. We are very impressed with your products. |
| Mr. Gene Zink, H&K International Training Division, Instructor | I started using SMOOTH-KOTE and TUF-CLOTH on my firearms over 3 years ago. Needless to say, I have not lubricated my firearms with anything else since, and I will not in the future. With our hectic training schedule and the number of rounds that I fire each week, close to 500, I have little time to perform maintenance on my MP5 and USP. Using Sentry products has reduced the time it takes to clean them as they do not foul up as much as when using oils. The combination of reliable H&K firearms and the excellent Sentry Solutions products make a winning combination. You have helped keep my firearms running and rust free. |
| Mr. John Gammuto, Precision Benchrest Shooter | I have been using SMOOTH-KOTE in my rifle bores since May 1995s SUPER SHOOT. My groups are significantly improved due to the lack of fouling. SMOOTH-KOTE really works! |
| P.O. Craig Copius, Hempstead PD., NY, Department Firearms Instructor | I have used SMOOTH-KOTE, BP2000 Powder and TUF-CLOTH for the past two years. I have found each and every one of them to be beyond good. |
| CO Sherwood Vachss, Division Training Officer Department of Corrections, NH | I fired about 1500 rounds, I had no malfunctions even though our prison range is full of sand. |
| Sheriff Chester L. Jordan, Merrimack Co., NH | After firing 700 rounds with no malfunctions, our pistols were clean and appeared not to have been fired. |
| Sgt. Michael J. Levesque, Armorer Firearms Instructor, Nashua PD, NH | I must commend you and your team of employees in the manufacturing of an excellent product for the firearms industry. |
| Mr. Ernest Emerson, Emerson Knives | We have been using Sentry products since about mid 1994. We were introduced to the product because I was working with a Naval Special Warfare group in San Diego. A gentleman down there who was the head of their Test & Research Department introduced me to the product TUF-CLOTH. That was what he showed me at the time. He told me that it was the absolute best product that they had ever found to prevent their guns & weapons from being corroded by salt water exposure, & he said,Ernie, this is the product you guys should check out for your knives. We are in a position where our knives are used by probably the hardest user end group in the world, and being in that position our customers do not want the best product, they demand the best product. That is the reason that we use TUF-CLOTH and Sentry Solutions on all of our knives - every one that goes out the door has got it on the blade and on the inside for lubrication and we have never had any complaints on our products and part of that reason is that we are using TUF-CLOTH and TUF-GLIDE on it and so we are going to be using it as long as we are making knives. |
| Mr. Rod Bremmer, Partner, Columbia River Knife & Tool | We tested the product, liked it and recommend it with sale of our knives. It is probably one of the best rust inhibitors that we have ever seen. Easy to use, it is convenient. There is not a lot of debris that is attracted because it is a dust free solution as opposed to having an oily residue so that the knife stays nice and clean and yet inhibits rust, nice lubricant along with it! We recommend that all of our customers consider Sentry Solutions Products especially the TUF-CLOTH. We think it is a marvelous product, we think you should try it. |
| Mr. Will Fennell, President, Edge Design Inc. (now with Camillus Cutlery) | We found carbon will make knives cut well but it also will make them rust. We needed a product that we could use during production to treat the knives so we would not have any corrosion problems till we got our product to the customer and we needed something to recommend to the customer after they got the product. Sentry Solutions TUF-CLOTH and Tuf-Glide does the best job of any product we have ever used. Completely dry, does not collect debris, gets into the workings of the knife, keeps the customer from having to take them apart to clean all the time. We are completely satisfied with the products. |
| Mr. Lester deAsis, President, Benchmade Knife Co. | We were introduced to Sentry Solution's TUF-CLOTH in 1993. After about a year of research & testing, and using it at the customer level and also internally, we've determined that it is one of the finest rust preventatives that we've found.
We highly recommend Sentry Solutions products and we have it as a line item in our catalog. At this point it makes the difference between a good piece of equipment staying in shape and not being kept up to par. |
| Chris & Anne Reeve, Chris Reeve Knives | It has been in the region of five years now that we have been including one of the sample size TUF-CLOTH in with every One Piece Knife. This association has been a very good one for us for a number of reasons but the most important is that the Tuf-Cloth works so well!! We make our One Piece Knives from A2 tool steel, which is not considered a fully stainless steel. Even though the finished knives are coated with KG GunKote, there is still some potential for corrosion and by supplying the Tuf-Cloth, we are giving our customers the best in corrosion resistant treatment. We have found Sentry Solutions a great company to work with and hope that our association will continue for many more years. We look forward to seeing you at the Shot Show! With very best wishes to you and everyone at Sentry Solutions for a wonderful holiday season. |
| Mr. Michael Collins, Design Principal, Various Manufacturers | We found Sentry Solutions about 4 years ago and it has been a solution to a lot of problems we have had. |
| Mr. Ed Halligan, Custom Knife Maker, Designer of the KISS | I became familiar with Sentry Solutions products in 1997. Been using it since. I work a lot with Damascus, which is a carbon steel. I use the TUF-CLOTH to protect my product. At the shows they get handled quite a bit and acid from peoples hands will create quite a bit of damage on a Damascus pattern. With the Tuf-Cloth used on the knife I've had no problems since. |
| Mr. R. J. Martin, Martinsite Knife | I've used the MARINE TUF-CLOTH for over 3 years and they are the only corrosion inhibitors I now use or recommend. |
| Mr. Kevin McClung, Mad Dog Knives | I have been using the Sentry Solutions MARINE TUF-CLOTH on my knives since 1991 as a corrosion inhibitor. The product is truly exceptional. |
| Kellam Knives | We use TUF-CLOTH on our carbon steel blades. Our customers are pleased to find these products available & have been very pleased with the results of your product. |
| Lt. Michael Peck, US Army Aviation/Coffee Co. Sheriff's Dept. | This letter is written to express my praise for your TUF-CLOTH. I am an active duty Army Aviator and a part-time Deputy Sheriff. I have turned many of my fellow soldiers and police officers on to your outstanding product. I cannot say enough good things about your product. Thank you. |
| Mr. Johnny Gay, Team Freespool, Merritt Island, FL | I've been using MARINE TUF-CLOTH and TUF-GLIDE on my fishing reels, knives, and boat hardware since 2001. They work so well I haven't had any corrosion. All of my gear is lubed with TUF-GLIDE and the actions are the slickest ever. I wipe my reels and bright work down with MARINE TUF-CLOTH to keep corrosion out. Now all of my bronzed fishing hooks, rod guides and reel seats are corrosion free.

| Capt. Bruce Chard, Big Pine Key, FL
| As a full time Florida Keys flats guide, I see what harm the harsh salt air, and water do to my skin, boat, and most of all, my fly fishing equipment. MARINE TUF-CLOTH is an easy to use, dry lubricating cloth that helps to prevent and breakdown salt residue and corrosion. One wipe with a MARINE TUF-CLOTH and my rods and reels look brand new, and have the best protection against salt water and salt air. I love using the MARINE TUF-CLOTH to keep my gear looking and working great! |

| Stryker Brigade to receive new Squad Weapons Maintenance Kits |
While exhibiting our Small Arms lubricants at Ft. Benning’s Army Infantry Training Center, Sentry Solutions was approached by a Colonel from the Fire Support Armaments Center at Picatinny Arsenal.
Fire Support Armaments Center is hosted by ARDEC (Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center), Headquartered at Picatinny Arsenal, N.J. Picatinny Arsenal’s mission is to support the Army’s transformation process. ARDEC is the Army's principal research center for the development of future armament and munitions systems. More than 2,500 highly skilled scientists, engineers and technical specialists are tasked with giving our troops the best and most effective equipment possible.
The personnel at ARDEC saw a need for a Cleaning System and Cleaning Kit to give soldiers additional tools to keep their weapons (M-4/M-16) and magazines clean and running in whatever conditions they face. Our military strives to equip our troops with the most efficient tools available and that is in keeping with Sentry Solutions’ mission. Our product line was developed to give our troops new technology based products for this new age of war fighting.
The Squad Weapons Maintenance Kit is for use by the Stryker Brigades http://www.strykernews.com/ . The kit helps soldiers maintain their individual weapons with supplemental maintenance technologies. Our troops have been using assorted gun care products, many of these utilize “old technology”. Sentry Solutions products are too new and remain unknown to many military personnel. For the last ten years Sentry Solutions has been supplying mainly special operations teams. In early 2002, forty soldiers from Ft. Drum deployed to Afghanistan, started sharing their TUF-CLOTHs with another seven hundred soldiers from Ft. Campbell. That is when the Army got a chance to see just how good Sentry Solutions products were for the operating conditions they faced in the deserts and mountains of Afghanistan.
Each kit consists of a durable carrying case, a refillable compressed air can with hand pump, plastic finger sprayer bottles for applying lubricant, magazine speed loaders, rifle cleaners, gun cleaning picks, magazine protective bags, protective dust caps, assorted paint brushes and ten TUF-CLOTHs (the new alternative to gun cloths of yesteryear). As of 2005, more than 10,000 TUF-CLOTHs have been incorporated to these Kits.
As of 2006, the “down range PXs” only sell two Small Arms Lubricants- TUF-CLOTH and TUF-GLIDE. |

TECHNIQUE FOR DEPLOYING A VANTREPAN WITH A RONS VEHICLE
NAVEODTECHDIV Library Call #91-793
This document provides suggestions on how to deploy the Vantrepan using the RONS Vehicle.
VANTREPAN: TECHNIQUE FOR RONS VEHICLE DEPLOYMENT
This manual provides a technique for creating a Gripper Adapter to hold a Vantrepan in the RONS Vehicle gripper. This technique was developed by NAVEODTECHDIV under the RONS Continuous Improvement Program (CIP). This technique is not definitive, it is meant to provide a suggestion for the deployment of a Vantrepan using the RONS Vehicle.
This technique covers how to make a Gripper Adapter to hold the Vantrepan in the RONS gripper, how to prepare the Vantrepan to stick to a target, and suggestions for how to deploy the Vantrepan. The method involves using 2 separate components: a Gripper Adapter, and the Vantrepan (with a piece of plastic PVC pipe).
The purpose of two separate pieces is to keep the deployed Vantrepan as lightweight as possible, so that it will adhere better to a target.
To deploy the Vantrepan with the RONS Vehicle, it is necessary to be able to stick the Vantrepan to a wide variety of target surfaces. This can be done by putting a material on the front surface of the Vantrepan that is capable of holding the loaded Vantrepan stationary on a target. Products below are listed only as examples, other products and vendors may be available.
